This Lead Auditor Certification programme uses both the IRCA 2245 'Guidelines for QMS Auditor/Lead Auditor Training' and ISO 19011 - Auditor Guidelines. to underpin its structure and content with variations appropriate to the requirements for ISO 10015 and its (+) component.. Please note that, it does not automatically approve participants as IRCA recognised auditors, if required, this must be applied for independently.
Students are expected to have a substantial range of experience in either training, education or quality management in order to attend this course. Please consult us further if you have any concerns as to whether your qualifications and experience are suitable. This programme may also be used by experienced auditors.as a conversion course, enabling them to audit in new contexts, against a different management system standard and thereby add to their existing generic auditing skills and experience
There are two ways an Auditor/Lead Auditor might be used by organisations wishing to meet the ISO 10015(+) Quality Management - Guidelines for Training Standard as either an In-Company or Peripatetic capacity.
In-Company Auditors/Lead Auditors |
Undertake the audit process for their own organisation. They evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the internal training management system, gather evidence that the processes in place conform to the standard and then write up their findings in a report. Recommendations for improvements, in relation to identified and agreed non-conformities, can then be addressed by either the internal training team or specially commissioned private training and learning consultants.
Peripatetic Auditors/Lead Auditors |
Undertake the same process as outlined above, however, they do this for any organisation that requests an audit. Often these Auditors work independently as consultants. However, in their findings and subsequent report, any recommendations for improvements in relation to identified and agreed non-conformities, may not be addressed by them in their original independent consultancy role (as per ISO regulations). The non-conformities will need to be addressed by either the internal training team or another private consultant. More details of UK-based consultants can be found HERE
OFQT is the first and only UK provider approved by AdeQuaTE®, Geneva, Switzerland, to offer Lead Auditor Certification Training appropriate for both In-Company and Peripatetic Auditors/Lead Auditors.
